(Sustenance) Stop Motion animation Week 4 - Monday, Wednesday

On Monday morning and Wednesday morning we had a discussion with our peers about a excerpt we were given about architecture. This excerpt was part of a book called "Architecture Oriented Otherwise" written by David Leatherbarrow. I found this handout quite informative about how designers and critics view buildings:
  1. As objects that restult from design and construction techniques.
  2. As objects that represent various practices and ideas.

After reading this excerpt i also shared the same views as the author on how buildings are designed to be static and not much design is put into the movable mechanisms such as apertures, screens and furnishings.

After this we were told to write one word that summed up our thoughts about the article. I wrote down 'Stability'. We were then told to combine the words as a group to make up a sentence:

It reads Stability and function respond to contemporary digital performance as one-in-the-same entities.
We were then told to pick a word from the sentence and integrate it into our project of Sustenance. I picked the word 'contemporary' because i felt this would be relevant to the idea of Sustenance.
